Veterans in Our Community
Dalton Shoemaker Cemetery has been home to military veterans for over 100 years. We have veterans in our historic cemetery from the Revolutionary War to Desert Storm. Visit our Veterans page to see a full list of veterans that have served our country and community.
Cemetery Guidelines
Respectful Guidelines for Visitors
- Artificial flower arrangements are not to be put directly in the ground during summer months. They must be in cemetery standing vases. Vases are available upon request. NO GLASS or NO CANS.
- Christmas and Easter Artificial arrangements are permitted, but are to be removed from the premises within 30 calendar days after the holiday.
- Only cemetery candles in the proper holders are permitted.
- Trash barrels have been placed throughout the cemetery for your convenience to discard any unwanted articles. Please feel free to use them to help keep our grounds clean.
- A water barrel is on the side of the white shed for your convenience.
- Veteran flags are available upon request. Please contact us.
